On my journey in learning graphic design, I have profoundly felt the power and responsibility of visual expression. When I embarked on creating ‘The Encyclopedia of the Laborers‘, my intention was to use my skills to give voice to the ordinary yet remarkable workers who silently toil for their livelihoods and contribute to societal progress.
Millions of laborers worldwide earn a living for themselves and their families with their own hands and sweat, while also contributing to the development of society. However, their hard work is often overlooked, and their stories and dreams remain unknown to many. The creation of ‘The Encyclopedia of the Laborers’ stems from my respect and understanding for these ordinary yet extraordinary individuals.
In ‘The Encyclopedia of the Laborers’, you will witness the dreams and realities, struggles and perseverance, as well as the resilience and hope of these workers in the face of adversity. These stories are not just personal experiences; they are collective memories and valuable assets of the laborer community. Through these narratives, we aim to raise awareness and support for laborers, urging society to pay greater attention to their rights and well-being, creating a more equitable and beautiful environment for them to live in.
As a student of graphic design, I feel privileged to be a part of this meaningful project. Through the creation of this book, I have not only honed my professional skills but also gained a deeper understanding of the hardships and grandeur of laborers. I hope that my efforts will inspire more people to pay attention to the lives and rights of laborers, contributing to the progress and development of society.
