Seoyeong Son

Based in London, graphic designer Seoyoung Son is deeply interested in editorial design and developing design systems applicable to the current design industry. She enjoys incorporating analogue techniques into digital designs, particularly in bookbinding for book art. Seoyoung strives for minimalistic and clean designs that are intuitive and easy for users to understand.

Studio Wvb (Weaver’s Notebook)

Wvb: Weaver’s Notebook

Textile designers (weavers) who use a loom must provide buyers not with the fabric itself when selling their designs, but with a design sheet containing all the information needed to produce the fabric. However, managing these design sheets often becomes problematic. Sometimes weavers struggle to find or misplace their design sheets, making it difficult to reuse or modify designs later.

This project aims to address this issue by developing a design sheet and personal design index system optimised for the woven textile industry. The system will support weavers in easily creating and managing design sheets. Additionally, it will assist designers in easily locating and managing all their designs through a personal design index.

Vook: Book of Voyeurism

This book ‘Vook’ treats the domain of voyeurism, which has always existed in human society throughout history. It presents stories related to voyeurism, ranging from classic tales like ‘Peeping Tom’ in England to anecdotes about Korean literati of the Joseon Dynasty. These narratives illustrate how the desire for voyeurism has manifested in human beings from the past to the present, even into the 21st century. By showcasing various examples, the book aims to prompt readers to contemplate the appropriate attitude towards voyeurism, an inherent aspect of society that cannot be eradicated.
